MOBILEMUSTER E-WASTE GRANTS
Helping councils collect e-waste
MobileMuster supports the establishment of free, integrated
e-waste collection schemes that are available to all residents. To
help make this happen, MobileMuster offers e-Waste Collection
Grants to local councils.
Valued at up to $5,000 each, these grants help councils trial
and run integrated e-waste collections that allow for the recycling
of mobile phones. Grants can be used to promote these collections,
or buy equipment that will streamline the collection process.
Some examples of local councils' innovative approaches to
collecting e-waste (including mobile phone components) include:
- Creating specific e-waste drop off days
- Providing households with free recycling satchels
- Using current kerbside recycling bins
