In 2010 the Old phones, more trees ran initially from May to June 2010 and then from July to October 2010.

In both campaigns a tree would be planted by Landcare Australia for every kilogram of old mobiles collected up to a total of 55,000 trees in key iconic forests and coastal areas around Australia .

From May to June MobileMuster collected more than 30,000 kg resulting in the planting of 30,000 trees at the following sites

  • Myola Basin, Far North Queensland
  • Barmah-Millewa Forest along the River Murray, NSW and Victoria
  • Lower Lakes, Murray River SA
  • Wallatin and O'Brien Catchments WA

From July to October MobileMuster collected over 36,000 kgs and is now helping the following groups restore and protect the following coastal areas.  Each group is planting at least 5,000 seedlings at these locations
