1. Backup all of your data to your laptop or cloud before performing any resets.
  2. Before resetting, remove your SIM card and any memory card. If possible, make sure the phone is charged to 100% so that the phone will be powered to complete the reset process.

Phone off - hard reset

  • Turn on the phone

  • Type in the following: *2767*3855#

  • Wait until phone reboots.

From the menu

Menu > Settings > Reset settings >  > OK > Reset > Yes >enter pass code (factory default is 00000000) > OK

Galaxy S3 (2011-13)

Galaxy S4 (2013-14)

Phone off - hard reset

  • Hold the following buttons simultaneously for about 10 seconds: Power, Volume Up & Home. 
  • When the phone vibrates, release only the Power button.
  • When the Android System Recovery screen appears, release the other buttons.
  • The unlock/reset menu will appear. Use the volume buttons to scroll toWipe Data/Factory Reset.Select this options using the Power button.
  • Scroll toYes - delete all user data and select.
  • Scroll toReboot System Now and select.
  • Turn on the phone.
  • Type in the following: *2767*3855#
  • Wait until phone reboots.
From the menu

Settings > User and Backup > Factory data reset > Reset device >Enter passcode if necessary> Delete all
