THANK YOU TO ALL SCHOOLS THAT PARTICIPATED IN THE I CAN DO THAT RECYCLING CHALLENGE

MobileMuster has now (as at Feb 4th 2010) received 939 kg of mobile phone components for recycling from 178 of the 259 schools registered for the challenge.

This means MobileMuster together with Landcare Australia will be able to help protect and restore the habitats of at least 32 bandicoots. What a great result!

National Schools Winner - Forest Hill Primary School - 38kg  - the school will receive a StarBoard FX-DUO 77” Interactive Whiteboard value at $3,449 from Hitachi Australia at the begining of first term in 2010.  FX-DUOBOARD1193139898

State School Winners  (each school will receive a certificate and every school that collected 8 kgs or more will receive a Milton MobileMuster and Billie Bandicoot Reward Pack)

  • WA - Ellie Munn, Subiaco Primary - 13 handsets

How did the challenge work?

MobileMuster joined with Landcare Australia where for every 30kg of mobile phones and accessories collected for recycling, MobileMuster will donate $100 to Landcare Australia to help to restore a bandicoot’s habitat.  This will include tree planting and predator proof fencing, as well as creating community awareness.

Schools registered by 6 /11/09 either  online or by fax / mail using the registration form

  • Each school was sent a challenge pack including a collection box and support materials.
  • At the end of National Recyclng Week schools booked a pick up with MobileMuster

Previous Schools Recycling Challenges

MobileMuster accepts registrations all year round from schools who want  to collect mobile phones for recycling.  Simply register online or download the registration form
