MobileMuster involves a number of organisations from the mobile phone industry including

  • industry members (i.e. handset manufacturers and network carriers) who fund and support the program
  • over 7,000 wranglers (e.g. mobile phone retail stores, service centres, other retailers, local councils, state and federal government agencies and businesses) who help collect mobile phones by either hosting public collection points (3,500) or collecting from staff, customers and/or students (4,000)
  • Australia Post who distribute free recycling satchels, just ask at the counter
  • numerous service providers who transport, recycle and process mobile phones, batteries and accessories
