Get on board for National Recycling Week

MobileMuster is proud to be an Associate Sponsor of  Planet Ark’s National Recycling Week (11-17 November). It provides a great opportunity to promote the benefits of mobile phone recycling and your MobileMuster drop off points, along with encouraging your community to recycle their old phones.

Become a collection partner

We partner with retailers, repair stores, councils, schools and workplaces across Australia to make it easy to recycle. If you are not already simply register to become a collection partner, click here. We can provide a free collection unit and resources to support your collection drive.

Host a Monday Muster

To celebrate National Recycling Week and engage participation we are encouraging workplaces to host a morning tea or afternoon drinks, have a laugh comparing old phone models with your colleagues and thank your team for recycling right. Planet Ark have developed some great resources on how to host a Monday Muster.

If you are hosting a Monday Muster follow and tag @MobileMuster and @PlanetArk in a post on Facebook or Instagram and use the hashtag #MondayMuster and #NationalRecyclingWeek.

How to recycle

If your organisation doesn’t want to become a permanent collection site there are other ways you can recycle. Drop them off at any participating retail store including your local Telstra, Optus, Vodafone, Samsung, Officeworks, Battery World or Salvos store. Find your local MobileMuster drop off point. Post them in for free using our mailing form below or pick up a free MobileMuster satchel available from your nearest AusPost outlet.

What happens when you recycle

Through our recycling process MobileMuster transforms the components from mobile phone waste into valuable materials for reuse. It means that fewer raw materials need to be extracted and processed to make new products. Learn more.

When we receive your mobile phones and accessories, everything will be recycled in a secure and safe process to the highest environmental standards. Nothing will be resold and any data left on mobiles will be destroyed through the recycling process.
