Recycle your mobiles and help the Salvos

This month we’ve partnered with the Salvos Stores to encourage more Australians to kick off their spring clean and dig out their old mobile phones for recycling.

For every mobile phone recycled by MobileMuster this month we will give $1 to Salvos Stores to support the great work they do in your local community. Read our terms and conditions.

You can recycle your old mobile phones and accessories at your local Salvos Store or drop them off at one of our 3,500 collection points across the country. Alternatively they can be posted back to MobileMuster using our free recycling satchel or mailing label, learn more.

Our spring cleaning tips to help you declutter

With most Australians planning to spring clean this September, we sat down with clinical psychologist, Professor Mike Kyrios from Flinders University, to develop some helpful tips to start the decluttering process.

      Create a plan

Creating a plan sets off your spring cleaning mission with a purpose, giving you a clear guideline to help you declutter not only efficiently but also quickly.

      Don’t forget your old tech

Most of us claim that they don’t even miss their phones once they have said goodbye to them.

Enjoy the memories, not the clutter

Rather than keeping those memories sitting inside a drawer, think about displaying them.

Cleaning is easier with friends and family

More hands make less work and who knows, maybe they can help you repurpose items you feel you don’t necessarily need anymore.

      Storage hacks

Every household has ‘that’ drawer, the illusive kitchen drawer, that is filled with weird and wonderful but mostly forgotten items.

      Reusing the space

Letting go of clutter will create space, which can be used in a new way or for its intended purpose.
