Terms and Conditions

MobileMuster Do Good Campaign December 2022 
  1. Information on how to participate in the “MobileMuster Do Good Campaign December 2022” (“the Campaign”) forms part of these terms and conditions. Participation in the Campaign is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. 
  2. The Promoter is the Australian Mobile Telecommunications Association (AMTA) ABN 98 065 814 315 of Level 5, 50 Berry St, North Sydney NSW 2060 (“AMTA”). 
  3. The Collector is the Reconnect Project ABN 50 634 550 388 of 8 The Strand, Penshurst NSW 2222 and/or DV Safe Phone ABN 62 646 969 459 of Level 1, 8 Innovation Pkwy, Birtinya QLD 4575. 
  4. Participation is open to residents of Australia, with an Australian mailing address (“the Participant”). 
  5. All valid collections (as set out in Clause 7) of mobile phones regardless of brand received by the Collector between 1 December 2022 and 31 December 2022 (“the Campaign Period”) will be eligible.  
  6. To participate in the campaign, participants must: 
  7. Post back their usable mobile phone, regardless of brand, by downloading the relevant post back label https://return.auspost.com.au/The_Reconnect_Project or https://return.auspost.com.au/DVSAFEPHONE 
  8. Neither AMTA or the Collector will bear responsibility for lost, late or misdirected collections. 
  9. Received mobile phones by the collector and any accessories will be processed for reuse if suitable, any device that is unable to be reused will be recycled by AMTA’s recycler and included in the Campaign and reported in the overall results for the campaign, reused versus recycled.  
  10. The maximum contribution is capped at 1,000 post back labels.  AMTA can nominate to deactivate the post back labels at its own discretion or once the capped amount is reached.  
  11. It is the participant’s responsibility to back up, delete or transfer any data of the device that they want to keep. 
  12. To the extent permitted by law, the Participant indemnifies the Promoter and Collector against any liability, injury, loss or damage which may be suffered, incurred or sustained by the Promoter or Collector arising out of, relating to, or in any way connected with, any act or omission (including negligence) by the Promoter or Collector, or any breach of these Terms and Conditions. 
  13. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter and Collector (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the campaign, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s or Collector’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any collection that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter or Collector) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter or Collector. 
  14. All collections of mobile phone components (including handset, their batteries, chargers and accessories) becomes the property of the Collector, and cannot be returned to the Participant, regardless if the mobile phone component/s is/are received before, during or after the campaign period. 
  15. In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Campaign, subject to any written directions from a relevant regulatory authority.
